Our Manufacturing Quality Engineering team ensures that every product leaving the factory meets Cisco's high standards for quality and reliability. We collaborate closely with manufacturing partners, design engineering, component engineers, and operations to proactively identify risks and drive continuous improvement. The team is composed of experienced, data-driven engineers who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What's exciting is that our work directly influences global manufacturing performance and helps shape the future of Cisco products.

Your Impact

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Technical Leader, you will own the strategy, implementation, and governance of Cisco's manufacturing quality programs, driving systemic improvements and ensuring consistent product excellence. You will work across manufacturing partners, NPI projects, and site moves to mitigate quality risks while fostering best practices.

  • Establish, implement, and manage comprehensive manufacturing quality programs, policies, and QMS governance to ensure Cisco's standards are met.
  • Conduct vendor audits, track performance metrics, and coordinate corrective actions to reduce risk and improve delivery predictability.
  • Lead root-cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and maintain Process FMEAs (PFMEAs) to prevent recurrence of product, test, or assembly issues.
  • Improve manufacturing line quality, support New Product Introductions (NPI) and site moves, and proactively prevent technical or production disruptions.
  • Develop and integrate data sets into factory quality monitoring systems, assess partner performance using scorecards, and report quality trends to guide continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Operations and Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability, process improvements, and field performance feedback are effectively integrated.
  • Drive systemic solutions, best practices, and proactive risk management across manufacturing sites and suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality and/or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience managing and resolving complex quality issues on a production line for PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and FATP (Final Assembly Test and Pack) at a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of direct reports within manufacturing engineering or manufacturing quality engineering.
  • Proven expertise in process, factory/vendor audits, new product quality planning, and driving quality issue resolution with suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience influencing both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven capability in setting and maintaining quality standards for both new and existing products.
  • Experience evaluating and scoring manufacturing partners performance and readiness to take on new projects.
  • Passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in manufacturing.
  • Some experience with supporting manufacturing test engineering and debugging issues down to subassembly and component levels.
