Role Purpose
The Market Change and Communications Lead is responsible for delivering the full suite of change management and communications activities required to support the successful deployment of global transformation initiatives within the market.
The role acts as the primary coordinator for local change interventions, communication planning, readiness tracking, and management of Market Change Agents. Working closely with the BI Market Change Coordinator and Regional Change Team, the role ensures global playbooks and materials are effectively localised to meet market needs and enable smooth adoption.
Key Responsibilities
1) Change Delivery & Intervention Execution
- Deliver market-level change interventions using methods and materials outlined in the global Playbooks (localised by wave teams), in partnership with the BI Market Change Coordinator.
- Own and execute the market-level communications plan using the Comms Toolkit, tailoring messaging through the Wave Comms Playbook to meet local requirements.
- Validate global change impact assessments by conducting local CIA for the market. Attend Local Design workshops (as required) and document impacts in the Change Impact Template.
2) Team Leadership & Localisation
- Lead and manage the Market Change Agents, guiding them to tailor global communications materials based on local functional needs, tone of voice, and translation requirements.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of key messages and change interventions across business functions.
3) Risk, Issue & Readiness Management
- Identify, monitor, and manage market-level risks, issues, and roadblocks related to change adoption, escalating to the Market Change Advocate and Regional Change Team as appropriate.
- Collect ongoing feedback and assess readiness levels across market teams, reporting concerns and escalations to the Regional Change Team when needed.
4) Cross-functional Collaboration
- Engage with market leadership, functional stakeholders, and global/regional programme teams to align change activities and expectations.
- Participate confidently in governance and decision forums, raising risks, issues, and readiness updates as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Understanding of Change Management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of local market operations, including key stakeholders and organisational structures.
- Proven experience in supporting or leading complex transformation initiatives.
- Strong programme management capabilities, including planning, stakeholder management, and decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and tailor messages for different audiences.
- Comfortable operating in structured governance forums, with the ability to escalate risks and issues appropriately.
