Working closely with the Thai and regional leadership teams, you will play a key role in shaping our market position, building strategic client relationships, and identifying opportunities that contribute to the long-term growth of our Water & Maritime business.
What you will do as Market Lead
As Market Lead Climate Resilience in Thailand, you will support the growth and visibility of Haskoning in the Thai market. You will identify business opportunities, strengthen client and partner relationships, coordinate tender activities, and provide market intelligence to support sustainable business growth.
Core activities of the Market Lead Climate Resilience role are the following:
Business Development & Opportunity Management
- Identify, assess, and pursue business opportunities aligned with Haskoning's Climate Resilience strategy in Thailand.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across the climate resilience, water and maritime sectors
- Advises on participation in tenders, strategic partnerships and business opportunities, considering client integrity, delivery capability and associated risks.
- Promote collaboration between Business Lines and APAC teams to maximise market opportunities and strengthen Haskoning's position in Thailand. Ensure all activities comply with Haskoning's Code of Conduct, Business Integrity principles, and company policies and procedures.
Client & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, strategic partners, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop local partnerships that enhance market presence and create project opportunities.
- Support the regional Business Development Director in client engagement, networking activities, and strategic market positioning.
Proposal & Tender Coordination
- Coordinates the Go/No-Go decision-making and opportunity qualification processes.
- Support the development of winning strategies, compelling value propositions and client-focused proposals.
- Support the development of winning strategies, value propositions, and client-focused proposals.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality bids and submissions and escalate commercial, partnership, integrity or delivery-related concerns where necessary.
Market Intelligence & Business Planning
- Monitor market trends, policy developments, investment programmes, and competitor activities.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable insights that support strategic planning and business development.
- Identify emerging opportunities and risks within the Thailand market in the climate resilience, water and maritime sector.

As our new Market Lead Water & Maritime Thailand you are based in Bangkok, Thailand, a strategic hub within Southeast Asia. The team is part of the Business Unit Asia Pacific, requiring close collaboration with regional and global leadership while maintaining a strong local market focus. From Bangkok, Haskoning works closely with government institutions, authorities, and private sector clients to address Bangkok's critical water and maritime challenges, including coastal resilience, flood risk management, climate adaptation, urban drainage and port development.
What you bring
You are a collaborative and credible professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong focus on building long-term relationships.
- Master's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development within the water, maritime, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Valid Thai professional engineering licence (COE).
- Thai nationality with fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Experience working with international donors, development banks, or public-sector clients is preferable.
- Strong understanding of Thailand's regulatory environment and local market dynamics.
