About BankX

BankX is Thailand's leading virtual bank, committed to delivering innovative, secure, and customer-centric financial services through technology. Our AI & Data Analytics team sits at the heart of our operations, ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and intelligent insights that drive business decisions.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to help build the Market and Liquidity Risk function for BankX, a technology-led virtual bank, from the ground up. We are looking for candidates across different experience levels to contribute to a growing team, with responsibilities matched to each person's background, strengths, and development path. The role combines risk fundamentals with data, automation, analytics, and risk systems to strengthen timely oversight, scalable reporting, and practical governance across liquidity risk, market risk, IRRBB, and regulatory reporting. It is well suited for people who are analytical, hands-on, and motivated to build practical risk management capabilities that support the Bank's launch and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen timely, data-driven oversight of liquidity risk, market risk, IRRBB, limits, early warning indicators, and key risk movements through effective monitoring tools.
  • Enable timely risk response by investigating data exceptions, limit breaches, and emerging risk signals, and coordinating escalation or follow-up actions.
  • Improve management decision-making by preparing, validating, and enhancing risk dashboards, automated monitoring reports, regulatory reports, and committee materials.
  • Support scalable risk governance by contributing to the design and review of relevant frameworks, policies, risk appetite metrics, stress testing, ICAAP inputs, and related governance routines.
  • Enhance forward-looking risk insights through stress testing, assumption challenge, result analysis, back-testing, methodology review, and coordination with relevant teams on model validation activities.
  • Support launch readiness and regulatory engagement through risk assessments, control evidence, governance documentation, and management materials.
  • Drive practical risk infrastructure improvements by providing input on new products, system changes, report automation, data requirements, and risk system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and, where required, support regulatory engagement to embed practical risk controls into day-to-day business and risk management processes.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in risk management, Treasury, ALM, regulatory reporting, financial analytics, data analytics, or related banking functions; exposure to liquidity risk, market risk, IRRBB, stress testing, Basel liquidity standards, or BoT regulatory requirements would be an advantage, with responsibilities adjusted based on experience level.

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret risk data, identify key movements, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of liquidity risk, market risk, IRRBB, LCR, NSFR, stress testing, risk limits, early warning indicators, or regulatory reporting would be an advantage.
  • Ability to review data quality, validate reports, challenge assumptions, reconcile results, and document findings clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, dashboard development, data analytics, automation, or risk systems would be an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, system-generated reports, and technology-enabled risk monitoring tools.
  • Good command of English, with the ability to prepare clear risk analysis, reports, and committee materials.
  • Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM, or relevant data analytics certifications would be an advantage but are not mandatory

Professional Skills / Key Attributes

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Curious and proactive, with a willingness to learn, challenge assumptions, and improve existing processes.
  • Practical problem-solving mindset with the ability to work through ambiguity in a fast-moving virtual bank environment.
  • Collaborative and clear communicator, able to work effectively with internal stakeholders and regulators.
