About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing Communication Assistant Manager, APAC to lead and execute all marketing communication initiatives for MCGC's Specialty Materials portfolio within the region. The role is responsible for developing integrated, multi-platform communication strategies aligned with global direction and regional priorities, working closely with Global Marketing Communication, Regional Corporate Communications, Regional Market Development, and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy
• Develop strategic marketing communication plans based on product insights and target segment analysis.
• Drive integrated marketing campaigns across advertising, PR, digital, social media, exhibitions, and events.
• Lead digital marketing initiatives (SEO, SEM, social media, email, content marketing) to enhance online presence and lead generation.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging across all APAC channels, following global brand guidelines.
• Adapt global strategies and value propositions to APAC market needs.
2. Collaboration & Leadership
• Align communication efforts with business goals by working closely with product, sales, regional, and global teams.
• Measure and analyze campaign performance using analytics tools and optimize future activities.
• Conduct market research on audiences, trends, and competitive landscape within APAC.
• Oversee creation of marketing content (brochures, presentations, videos, website content) tailored for the region.
3. Management
• Develop and manage the APAC marketing communication budget.
• Collaborate with vendors and agencies to ensure cost-effective execution.
• Track ROI for all marketing communication initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Commercial / Leadership
• Minimum 10-15 years of marketing communication experience; specialty chemicals/materials background preferred.
• Experience in two or more MCG target segments (automotive, electronics, semiconductors, medical, food packaging, etc.).
• Experience leading or collaborating with cross-country teams.
• Bachelor's degree required; marketing/business/communications preferred.
Strategy & Planning
• Strong ability to align communication initiatives with business strategy.
• Experience driving digitalization in marketing communication.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and measure multi-platform communication strategies.
• Proficiency with SEO tools to analyze content performance and optimize engagement.
Communication & Influencing
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; additional APAC languages preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Experience managing brand identities, visual libraries, and design standards.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, After Effects).
