Job Description

Summary:

Marketing Director for Personal Care is senior brand management role leading and coaching team to drive brand building strategy and execution to establish strong brand equity as well as define product portfolio destination that will lead to NPD concept and roadmap for the brand aim for a long term brand growth and strong presence in the market. This role will lead and engage cross-functional collaboration with R&D, packaging, regulatory, sales, and supply chain from developing to executing the launch of product as well as nurture brand and product for profitable and sustainable growth. The role is also responsible for business P&L with KPI on sales, margin and A&P spending.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Planning & Innovation

  • Develop and own brand ambition and strategy to drive brand equity and brand love among target consumers
  • Define portfolio destination and NPD roadmap
  • Identify white space and market opportunities thru consumer insight, market and consumer trends, social listening as well as competitive landscape in order to increase competitiveness for responsible brands/product group

2.New Product Development (NPD) Management

  • Lead NPD development from product ideation, concept, product positioning, unique and differentiated selling point, competitive benchmarking
  • Drive on-time-in-full NPD project management with team and key stakeholder
  • Collaborate with cross functional team, especially R&D and manufacturing team to ensure product quality and required standard
  • Engage relevant key stakeholder to seek approval if relevant

3.Brand and Portfolio Management

  • Oversee product portfolio strategy, including product lifecycle management (launches, updates, discontinue)
  • Manage product transition ensuring smooth transition from manufacturing to shelf and consumer with minimal waste
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to optimize performance and profitability.

4.Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead to define and develop launch plan (brand and product story telling) in a collaboration with commercial team as trade marketing Develop 360-degree launch plans in collaboration with trade marketing and sales team
  • Drive compelling marketing communication plan with strong brand campaign idea that meet marketing objective and relevant to brand proposition
  • Lead online, social commerce and drive effectiveness of full funnel in digital landscape
  • Own an effectiveness of marketing investment ensuring to drive performance, both sales and marketing KPIs

5.Consumer & Market Insights

  • Observe and analyze market trends, consumer behavior and competitive movement to re-define strategy ensuring brand competitiveness
  • Lead market research approach and treatment ensuring good brief bring good insight that meet business question

6.Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams with strong strategic influencing skill and project management
  • Collaborate closely with finance and relevant key stakeholder on brand P&L

7.Team Development & Leadership

  • Build and coach team to drive stronger marketing capability with consumer-centric mindset
  • Support team to grow and build talent for future leadership

Key Skills & Qualifications:

10+ years in marketing, preferably in beauty, personal care, or FMCG industries

Proven experience in end-to-end product development and brand management

Strong strategic thinking, innovation mindset, and project leadership skills

Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical abilities.

High energy, strong commitment, action and result-oriented
