Job Description
Scope and Dimensions
- Manage end-to-end material planning, procurement, import/export, and inventory activities.
- Ensure material availability to support customer orders, production requirements, and sales demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Manage overseas suppliers and coordinate purchasing, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels, consumption, lead times, and demand forecasts to prevent shortages and excess stock.
- Calculate and monitor landed cost, including material cost, freight, duties, taxes, and other import-related expenses.
- Drive purchasing cost optimization through sourcing, negotiation, shipment consolidation, and supply planning.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, and overseas factories to ensure smooth material flow.
Requirements Of The Job
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, material planning, supply chain, or import/export, with supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong experience in international purchasing, import/export procedures, inventory management, and logistics.
- Good understanding of landed cost, customs duties, freight, and international trade terms (Incoterms).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English; Chinese or other languages would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills.
