As a Material Planning Manager based in Bangkok, you will be entrusted with overseeing the end-to-end flow of materials required for efficient manufacturing operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with various departments to ensure that all necessary materials are available precisely when needed. You will take ownership of developing effective MRP strategies while continuously seeking ways to improve existing processes. • Lead and manage all aspects of material planning, inventory control, and warehouse operations to ensure alignment with production schedules and business goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust material requirements planning (MRP) processes that guarantee timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging for manufacturing needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels meticulously to balance service quality, working capital efficiency, and minimise risks associated with obsolescence or shortages.
  • Coordinate proactively with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams to swiftly address any material-related challenges and prevent line stoppages or delays.
  • Establish, review, and enhance inventory control processes by developing clear policies and standard operating procedures that drive consistency across the operation.
  • Analyse demand forecasts alongside production plans and consumption trends to inform accurate planning decisions that support both short-term output and long-term strategy.
  • Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of variances to maintain high standards of inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing inventory accuracy, reducing lead times, and optimising costs across the supply chain function.
  • Support supplier performance management by monitoring delivery reliability, flexibility, and readiness of materials to meet evolving production requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and potential material-related risks for presentation to senior management.

What you bring:

The successful Material Planning Manager will bring substantial experience gained within complex manufacturing environments where precision in material control is paramount. Your background should reflect not only technical proficiency but also an empathetic approach to team management-valuing open communication and mutual support among colleagues. You will have demonstrated your ability to interpret data accurately while remaining sensitive to the needs of both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
