Job Summary
Support the design and development of lithium-ion battery systems for commercial and marine applications. The role will contribute to both customer project execution and new platform development, working closely with cross-functional teams from concept through product validation and production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for battery packs and energy storage systems.
Prepare and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Support customer projects from concept design through production release.
Participate in the development of next-generation battery platforms, including marine energy storage systems.
Work with Electrical, BMS, Thermal, Test, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product delivery.
Support design reviews, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and engineering change management.
Coordinate with suppliers and external partners on component development and technical issues.
Support prototype builds, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical product design or battery/automotive/electromechanical product development.
Proficient in 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks).
Familiar with engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with sheet metal, extrusion, castings, or battery pack design is an advantage.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Experience (Advantage)
Battery pack or energy storage system design.
Marine, automotive, or industrial equipment development.
FEA exposure.
Knowledge of DFMEA and product development processes.
