Wood is currently recruiting for a Mechanical LOTO Coordinator to join our team for a large-scale challenging construction project. We are looking for individuals with expertise and experience who are ready to take on new challenges and assist us achieve excellence in schedule, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities
What makes you remarkable
LOTO Coordination & Execution
- Implement and coordinate all Mechanical LOTO procedures
- Interpret work scope, drawings, P&IDs, and other relevant documentation to determine proper mechanical isolations
- Verify isolation points and issue LOTO certificates
- Issue, modify, and close LOTO permits, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ensure locks and tags are correctly placed and removed
Field Oversight & Compliance
- Conduct field inspections to ensure LOTO compliance
- Ensure all protective measures listed in the permit are in place before authorizing work
- Perform audits of LOTO permits, including field verification
- Confirm systems/equipment are restored to a safe configuration after work completion
Administration & Control
- Maintain LOTO equipment and registers
- Maintain a current list of Authorized Permit Requestors
- Accept and process LOTO requisitions only from authorized personnel
- Control, track, and report all LOTO permits
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with construction, precommissioning, commissioning, and HSE teams
- Provide LOTO training and participate in incident investigations
- Support safe work planning and system handover activities
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
- Appropriate level of commissioning experience in relevant industry sector, typically a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience if degree qualified OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 10 years relevant practical experience
- Good standard of general computer literacy
- Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge
- Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation
- Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan
