Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our team for an immediate startcommencing in September 2026, supporting the delivery of a major EPCM refinery project with a valued client partner in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand.

This is an opportunity for Thai Passport holders on and initial 12-month contract with option to extend your assignment for the life of the project.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will act as the Owner's Representative, leading and overseeing mechanical construction activities across a designated project area throughout construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover phases of a major refinery expansion project.

You will play a key leadership role onsite, driving safe, efficient, and high-quality construction execution, contractor performance, and project delivery outcomes while upholding Wood's commitment to health, safety, environmental, and ethical excellence. Leading by example, you will foster a strong safety culture, promote collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and ensure successful delivery against key project milestones.

In Addition, You Will

  • Ensure all contractor personnel comply with project HSES requirements, site regulations, permit-to-work systems, and client procedures.
  • Supervise mechanical construction activities to ensure compliance with Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings, specifications, ITPs, procedures, and site instructions.
  • Monitor safety, quality, progress, and productivity within assigned work areas to achieve project objectives.
  • Coordinate with contractor supervision, planning engineers, and Construction Engineers to develop and execute daily and weekly work plans.
  • Review the availability of drawings, materials, equipment, tools, and workforce resources required for construction activities.
  • Identify schedule constraints, site issues, and material delivery impacts, communicating these effectively to the Discipline Superintendent.
  • Monitor contractor performance, workforce discipline, and timekeeping, escalating concerns as required.
  • Support project teams with construction execution, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Expected

You will be able to work lawfully in Thailand holding full working rights for this location. You must also be able to pass a Thai Police Check and a Pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.

Ideally, you will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or alternatively a relevant High School Certificate, Vocational Certificate, or Diploma.

You will also have 10+ years of industry experience, including proven experience in a similar Mechanical Supervisor role on a an EPCM project within the Refinery, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or Energy sector.

Ideally You Will Also Have

  • Demonstrated experience supervising mechanical construction within refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Proven capability in managing contractors and delivering safe and effective construction execution.
  • Registered Safety Officer at Supervisor Level.
  • Excellent HSES knowledge, including experience preparing Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Risk Assessments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to resolving project challenges.
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications, with fluent written and spoken English.

Desirable

What will set you apart will be your proven experience on refinery projects as part of revamps, expansions, and large-scale integration projects, with exposure to hydrocracker, hydrotreater, residue upgrading or complex conversion refinery units.
