Job Summary
The Media Relations and Content Marketing Officer plays a key role in enhancing the visibility and reputation of Sasin through strategic media engagement, content development, and cross-functional collaboration. This position combines strong storytelling and communication skills with a proactive approach to media outreach and relationship building. The role also supports internal coordination and administrative functions related to Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities
Media Relations
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with national, and international media.
- Coordinate press outreach, respond to media inquiries, and manage media interviews or press visits.
- Draft, distribute, and follow up on press releases, articles, research articles, interviews, media advisories, and press kits both English and Thai.
- Maintain media contacts and visit to media to build and maintain relationship.
- Monitor media coverage and create media reports to evaluate performance.
- Coordinate with PR consultants
Content Creation & Marketing
- Collaborate with the Marcom team to create compelling content for media.
- Research, write, and edit feature stories, success cases i.e. students, alumni, faculty members cases, news articles, and other editorial content.
- Support the creation and implementation of content marketing campaigns aligned with institutional goals.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for intended channels.
Internal Coordination/ University Coordination
- Respond to internal requests for media distribution/ media invitation.
- Coordinate media activities or campaigns with relevant departments or faculties.
- Serve as the liaison between the Marcom team and university units.
- Manage and update the expert database; proactively generate expert advisories and liaise with faculty to prepare for media engagement.
Administrative and Support Tasks
- Support logistics for all Marcoms events, including press events.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the communications team.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced news environment, such as a press office, digital media or as part of a communications team is desirable.
- Experience writing news, producing publications or managing online news content is desirable.
- Ability to convey complex subject matter concisely and compellingly to a wide range of audiences.
- Strong writing skills, including excellent grammar and spelling, with meticulous attention to detail (Both Thai and English).
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with website maintenance and digital content tools.
