Job Description

Currie & Brown are seeking a mid-level MEP Coordinator to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center projects involving multiple buildings constructed simultaneously. The role focuses on coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations across parallel building packages, ensuring integration with civil, structural, architectural, and commissioning activities. The successful candidate will monitor progress, identify issues, support clash detection and resolution, and contribute to efficient project execution in a fast-paced, multi-building environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate day-to-day MEP activities across multiple buildings under simultaneous construction, including mechanical (HVAC, chillers, cooling systems), electrical (MV/HV power, generators, UPS), and plumbing (process cooling, drainage) scopes.

- Track and report on MEP progress, milestones, and issues; prepare weekly MEP status updates for project management.

- Interface with General Contractor (GC), subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning (CX) agents to align MEP installation with overall construction phasing.

- Support combined services coordination using BIM models; participate in clash detection workshops and resolution of MEP-related conflicts.

- Monitor equipment deliveries, storage, installation sequencing, and pre-commissioning/testing activities.

- Coordinate MEP tie-ins with site-wide utilities (power, fiber, water, cooling infrastructure) and civil enabling works.

- Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for MEP scopes.

- Identify risks or delays in MEP works, escalate critical issues promptly, and support development of recovery plans.

- Contribute to site coordination meetings, progress reviews, and handover preparation for MEP systems.

- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements specific to mission-critical data center environments.

Currie & Brown are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee all site logistics for a multi-building, multi-phase hyperscale data center construction project. The role focuses on coordinating complex construction phasing, material and equipment deliveries, site layout optimization, and utility/infrastructure sequencing to ensure efficient, safe, and timely project progression. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maximizing land utilization, minimizing clashes, and supporting seamless handover while collaborating closely with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage overall site logistics, including staging, storage, site health and welfare facilities, handover scopes, and efficient utilization of available land and resources.

- Coordinate and manage General Contractor (GC) construction phasing across multiple buildings and project phases.

- Oversee planning for equipment arrival, testing, deliveries, and commissioning (CX) activities.

- Plan and coordinate site civil works phasing, CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural), MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Low Voltage/Low Energy (LLE), power, fiber optic, and water utility phasing.

- Develop visual forecasts (e.g., site layout plans, phasing diagrams) of project phases on a weekly and monthly basis to communicate progress and upcoming activities.

- Extrapolate schedule data from planners and schedulers into practical site forecasts; detect potential clashes in field layouts and propose mitigation strategies.

- Maximize use of available site land through optimized staging, storage, and traffic management plans.

- Develop detailed mobilization and demobilization plans for contractors, vendors, and equipment.

- Coordinate closely with project management teams, vendors, employer representatives, planners, schedulers, GC, subcontractors, and commissioning (CX) agents.

- Identify logistical conflicts or risks, escalate issues to management promptly, and propose alternative solutions to maintain project schedule and efficiency.

- Prepare and deliver weekly logistics reports to management, highlighting progress, risks, and resolutions.

- Ensure well-planned, coordinated, and efficient resource allocation to support safe and productive site operations.
