Job Title: Thailand Merchandising Manager (Industrial MRO)

Report To: Thailand Business Director

Work Location: Based in Laem Chabang, Thailand; frequent on-site visits and regular stationed support at industrial parks including Rayong, Chonburi, Laem Chabang and other industrial zones across Thailand

Job Brief: This role is core to JD Industrial's local business development in Thailand. The incumbent will be fully responsible for local category planning, industrial product selection, and on-site demand docking with end manufacturing clients. You will directly communicate with factory teams, verify product applicability for local working conditions, optimize local product portfolio, and collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to improve product matching rate, sales turnover and client procurement penetration for Chinese-invested and local industrial enterprises in Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-site Client Demand Research & Requirement Analysis

Regularly conduct on-site visits to manufacturing factories in Thailand, communicate face-to-face with client procurement, engineering, production and equipment departments to capture full-scenario MRO and industrial material demands covering factory construction, mass production and daily maintenance. Independently complete on-site business communication, demand confirmation, pain point sorting, specification verification, sample docking and alternative product evaluation via proficient Chinese and Thai bilingual capabilities, and deliver standardized demand lists and customized product matching solutions to solve product mismatch and applicability issues for clients.

2. Local Industrial Product Selection & Customized Sourcing

In charge of full-category industrial product selection covering electrical components, hardware tools, PPE, pneumatic & fluid control parts, mechanical spare parts and warehouse consumables. Based on local working conditions, equipment parameters, Thai industrial standards and client cost budgets, select and finalize product specifications, verify product compliance and performance. Provide qualified domestic Chinese alternatives and local sourcing solutions to resolve clients pain points of long lead time, high cost and stock shortage of imported materials, ensuring all products adapt to local factory operation standards.

3. Regional Category Planning & Product Portfolio Optimization

Deeply research Thailand's industrial market, including local pricing system, hot-selling categories, competitor product structures and industry procurement preferences. Formulate monthly, quarterly and annual category development plans tailored for Thai market characteristics and differentiated demands from automotive, electronics, new energy and heavy industry clients. Continuously optimize local product portfolio, phase out slow-moving and low-adaptability products, and expand high-demand, high-repurchase and cost-effective core categories to build a localized, high-quality industrial product pool for JD Industrial Thailand.

4. Pricing Strategy & Cross-functional Supply Chain Collaboration

Optimize local product pricing and quotation strategies based on market trends, procurement costs and competitor pricing. Cooperate with domestic category teams, supply chain and fulfillment teams to promote new product launching, local stock preparation, sample testing, qualification verification and specification standardization. Develop exclusive product lists and customized supply solutions for key account framework procurement projects to ensure stable and efficient bulk delivery.

5. Data Review & Iterative Optimization

Regularly analyze local category operation data including sales performance, inventory turnover, return & exchange rate and client feedback. Identify product matching defects, supply chain bottlenecks and market opportunities, deliver regular category review reports, and iterate product selection and portfolio strategies to improve product conversion rate, client satisfaction and overall category profitability.

6. Local Supplier Resource Development & Standard System Construction

Develop and maintain relationships with local Thai suppliers and brand distributors to enrich local high-quality supply resources and improve the localized supply chain system. Sort out local industrial procurement standards and equipment adaptation specifications, and establish JD Industrial Thailand's localized product selection database and parameter standard system to improve overall selection accuracy and efficiency.

Job Requirements

Must-have Requirements

1. Bilingual Capability: Proficient in Chinese and Thai for full business communication, skilled in oral and written bilingual work. Able to independently conduct on-site client docking, business negotiation, technical selection communication and document translation with zero language barriers.

2. Industry Experience: 3+ years of working experience in industrial MRO, hardware & electrical products or equipment spare parts, with solid experience in product selection, category management, merchandising planning or industrial procurement. Familiar with procurement logic and product selection standards of manufacturing factories.

3. Core Competency: Proven experience in on-site client demand docking. Capable of independently completing demand analysis, product selection and solution output, with solid industrial product knowledge and parameter identification capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Familiar with Thailand industrial market, industrial park ecology and local manufacturing procurement habits; candidates with Thailand local industrial working experience or Chinese-funded factory service experience are highly preferred.

2. Strong market insight, data analysis and category planning capabilities; sensitive to industrial product cost performance, product adaptability and market trends.

3. High resilience and result-oriented mindset. Able to adapt to frequent on-site business trips and stationed client support, with excellent cross-team collaboration and problem-solving skills.

4. Bachelor's degree or above, major in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Marketing, International Trade or related fields is preferred.
