Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, partners, or divestiture candidates aligned with corporate strategy.

Perform financial modeling, valuation analyses (e.g., DCF, comparable company/transaction multiples, precedent transactions), and synergy assessments.

Lead or support due diligence processes covering financial, operational, legal, commercial, and cultural aspects identify risks and opportunities.

Structure deals (pricing, financing, earn-outs, contingencies) and support negotiations of term sheets, purchase agreements, and related documentation.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, tax, HR, operations, strategy) and external advisors (investment bankers, lawyers, accountants).

Prepare investment memos, presentations, board materials, and data-room documentation for senior leadership decision-making.

Manage transaction project timelines, information flow, and closing processes.

Oversee or support post-merger integration planning and execution to realize synergies, cultural alignment, systems integration, and value creation.

Monitor industry trends, deal activity, and regulatory developments that affect M&A strategy.

Build and maintain relationships with external parties (bankers, brokers, potential targets/sellers).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Several years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or corporate finance (exact years vary by seniority-typically 2-5+ for specialist/associate level more for senior roles).

Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and transaction structures.

Knowledge of legal/regulatory aspects of M&A transactions and ability to work effectively with counsel.
