Job Description

Position Summary

The MICE Sales Manager is responsible for generating and growing revenue from the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) segment. The role focuses on acquiring new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and converting opportunities into confirmed events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and achieving revenue targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
  • Identify and develop new MICE business opportunities from corporate companies, event organizers, travel agencies, destination management companies (DMCs), and government organizations.
  • Prospect new clients through sales calls, networking events, exhibitions, and industry associations.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently generate qualified leads.
  • Conduct regular sales visits and client presentations.
Sales & Revenue Management
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual MICE sales targets.
  • Prepare competitive proposals, quotations, and contracts.
  • Negotiate pricing and event packages while maximizing profitability.
  • Upsell accommodation, food & beverage, audiovisual services, and other hotel facilities.
  • Forecast revenue and maintain accurate sales reports.
Account Management
  • Build long-term relationships with key corporate accounts and event planners.
  • Maintain regular communication with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Handle client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct site inspections and hotel presentations for prospective clients.
Event Coordination
  • Work closely with the Events, Banquet, Operations, Revenue Management, and Front Office teams to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings and ensure all client requirements are communicated accurately.
  • Follow up after each event to obtain feedback and strengthen client relationships.
Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitors, pricing, and market trends.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities and industry developments.
  • Recommend promotional campaigns and sales initiatives to increase market share.
Administration
  • Maintain accurate client records using the hotel's CRM system.
  • Submit weekly sales activity reports and revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience with at least 2 years in MICE sales.
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets within the hospitality industry.
  • Existing network of corporate clients and event planners is highly preferred.
  • Experience with international hotel brands is an advantage.
