Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in automation testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation frameworks and tools. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Document test cases, test results, and defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Mentor junior team members in automation testing best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation testing.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to analyze complex software systems and identify potential issues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
