Job Description
This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform technical support activities related to operations using engineering approaches to achieve organizational goals and effectively respond to work requests in terms of productivity, quality, and cost.
- Develop tools and equipment to improve product quality and reduce costs.
- Supervise engineers and technicians to ensure tasks are accomplished in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with other departments, including overseas organizations, regarding technical issues related to operational support.
- Develop subordinates performance through proper training, coaching, and supervision.
- Establish appropriate performance reports and carry out related assignments as required.
- Release, revise, and update process instructions as necessary.
- Monitor manufacturing quality, implement improvements, and lead problem-solving activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to enhance team performance in alignment with section goals through structured training and supervision.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degreeor higher in Mechatronics engineering, Automation Engineering, AI Robotics Engineering, Software Engineeringor equivalent experience
- Strong technical skills in area of study
- Good in English communication and computer operation.
- Knowledge of HDD Process & Technology, HDD Quality Management, ESD & Contamination

- Skills in Presentation, QC tool, Lean Management, Problem-solving and Decision-making, Innovations and Project Management
- Strong engineering knowledge related to manufacturing/operations support
- Process improvement and optimization
- Tooling and equipment development
- Manufacturing quality control and monitoring
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
- Cost reduction and productivity improvement techniques
- Ability to release and revise process instructions
