Role Overview
Responsible for coordinating and managing new model development projects for Global & Commuter models, covering SMQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Manpower and Delivery), CBU/CKD development, project planning, prototype evaluation, budget control, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful project launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor SMQCD performance for new Global & Commuter model development projects.
- Lead CBU/CKD new model projects and coordinate with production and related departments.
- Receive new model development plans and translate them into detailed project schedules and action plans.
- Coordinate prototype preparation, review new model requirements, and facilitate project meetings.
- Review part lists and part structures and support prototype model inspections.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and follow up on action plans to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with related departments to prepare investment and expense budgets and support approval processes.
- Prepare quality, cost, and project evaluation reports at each development milestone.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
- 1–4 years of experience in automotive/motorcycle manufacturing or new model development.
- Experience in New Model Development, Vehicle Design, Part Drawing, or Automotive Quality Management is an advantage.
- Good command of English (TOEIC 500+); Japanese language skills are an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Basic knowledge of CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or other engineering software is an advantage.
- Strong project management, communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Creative, adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
- Valid motorcycle driving license.
