The ideal candidate will lead the transition of new Lidar products from development to high-volume manufacturing within a Contract Manufacturing (CM) environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes, detailed work instructions, and comprehensive validation protocols for new products.
- Define and optimize assembly, calibration, and test processes, ensuring manufacturability, quality, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
- Work closely with R&D, system engineering, and manufacturing teams to industrialize new Lidar products, from initial concept through high-volume production.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) methodologies to improve overall efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams to enhance process stability, cycle time reduction, and quality improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Optics, Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in automotive, optics, sensors, or high-tech electronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with Lidar, optical sensors, or similar high-precision systems.
- Strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, process validation, and safe launch methodologies.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis tools (8D, FMEA, A3, DMAIC).
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, coordinating efforts between development teams, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements
