Position Overview
The Occupational Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring Amanpuri complies with Thai occupational health, safety, and work environment laws. The role oversees risk assessments, hazard identification, safety inspections, and the implementation of safety management systems across the resort.
This position develops and drives safety programs, conducts employee training and onboarding, promotes safety awareness, and ensures compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The officer investigates workplace incidents, prepares reports and statistics, recommends preventive measures, and collaborates with departments to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Thai Occupational Health, Safety, and Work Environment laws.
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and hazard identification.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Lead safety programs, safety committees, meetings, and audits.
- Deliver safety training and ensure proper onboarding for new employees.
- Promote safety awareness and proper use of PPE across the organization.
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare safety reports, statistics, and recommendations for management.
- Coordinate environmental measurements and legal safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of workplace health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- Certified Professional Occupational Safety Officer as required by Thai law.
- Strong knowledge of Thailand's occupational health and safety regulations.
- Good training and communication skills in Thai and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to develop and maintain Safety Manuals and SOPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
