The Officer, Continuous Improvement – CAD is responsible for driving process improvement initiatives related to CAD design and digital product development. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, standardization, and quality of CAD outputs to support product development and mass production readiness.
CAD File review and Preparation
- Review CAD file received from Product Development (PD) team for completeness and correctness.
- Check and ensure CAD file are ready for downstream process (3D wax printing, simulation, and production).
- Perform basic adjustment and modifications to improve printability and manufacturability.
- Ensure file formats and structure are aligned with internal standard.
Document Management
- Support Product Engineer and Process Engineer in improving product and process performance by providing timely CAD adjustment, technical support, and effective collaboration throughout trials and production implementation.
CAD File Management (Factory Library Owner – BB factory)
- Facilitate communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Prepare test jobs, testing conditions and official correspondence.
- Follow up status of test jobs with owner to ensure the amount of pieces are not lost and lead time is not too long.
PD Coordination & Master CAD Alignment
- Serve as the key contact point with Product Development (PD) to ensure all CAD files used at the factory are up-to-date and aligned with the latest master CAD.
- Communicate any changes, feedback, or discrepancies back to PD in a timely manner.
