Senior Manager - Liaison

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and well-connected Senior Manager - Liaison to manage and strengthen relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, local administration, and external stakeholders. The role will be responsible for ensuring smooth coordination, timely approvals, regulatory compliance, and seamless communication between internal teams and external agencies to support business operations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive liaison activities with government departments, municipal authorities, regulatory agencies, and local bodies for approvals, licenses, and clearances.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, consultants, legal advisors, and government officials.
  • Manage end-to-end coordination for obtaining permits, approvals, NOCs, registrations, and statutory clearances.
  • Ensure timely submission, tracking, and closure of all documentation related to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as legal, compliance, operations, projects, and administration to ensure smooth execution of liaison activities.
  • Monitor changes in government regulations, policies, and statutory requirements relevant to business operations.
  • Handle escalations and resolve issues related to regulatory approvals, compliance bottlenecks, and external stakeholder management.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, discussions, and negotiations with external authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all liaison activities align with organizational governance, legal compliance, and corporate policies.
  • Support leadership with market intelligence, regulatory updates, and strategic inputs on external affairs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in Liaison, Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, or External Affairs.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory approvals, licenses, statutory compliance, and documentation processes.
  • Proven experience in dealing with government bodies, municipal authorities, and external agencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Working knowledge of legal and compliance frameworks.
  • Good understanding of documentation, reporting, and process management.
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Public Relations, Law, or related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, or project-driven industries preferred.
  • Experience in handling regulatory approvals and statutory clearances for large-scale projects.
  • Strong local network with government and regulatory authorities.
