We are looking for an experienced and strategic Operations & Warehouse Automation Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end distribution center and retail operations. This role combines warehouse automation expertise, inventory and logistics optimization, and operational excellence across multi-store retail operations, leveraging ASRS, WMS, ERP, and Lean methodologies to drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse & Distribution Operations
- Lead all aspects of warehouse and DC operations, including storage, picking, shipping, receiving, and workforce management.
- Manage and optimize automated systems: ASRS, mini load, pick-to-light, WMS, ERP, and robotics.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, cost control, and process efficiency using Lean, PDCA, and ABC analysis.
- Plan and execute warehouse relocations or expansions while maintaining operational continuity.
- Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and generate reports for executive management.
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, and service issues, recommending solutions to optimize throughput.
2. Retail Operations & Customer Experience
- Oversee retail operations, ensuring process optimization, resource allocation, and store efficiency.
- Implement operational strategies to improve store productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Analyze sales trends and customer feedback, coordinating with marketing for promotions and campaigns.
- Maintain compliance with operational policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations across all locations.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across warehouses, DC, and retail operations.
- Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and implement training programs to enhance skills and accountability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
4. Financial & Performance Management
- Develop and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and capital expenditures.
- Conduct financial and KPI analysis to drive operational improvements and cost efficiency.
- Ensure customer ROI and satisfaction through effective project and warehouse management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in warehouse/DC operations, retail operations, and automation systems management.
- Strong experience with ASRS, WMS, ERP, pick-to-light, mini load, and automation technology.
- Proven leadership managing teams, projects, and operational budgets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills (Lean, PDCA, VSM).
- Experience in inventory management, stock accuracy, and multi-site operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Chinese is a plus.
