Job Description

GM - Operation Process Improvement is responsible for leading and optimizing all engineering and operational processes within S.Khonkaen Foods. This role focuses on driving efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and spearheading innovation to enhance productivity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Management

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of all production equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and commission new production lines or equipment.
  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution.

Process Improvement

  • Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and optimize factory performance.
  • Develop strategies to enhance production yield while maintaining product quality.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all engineering and operational activities comply with local, national, and international food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Champion workplace safety, ensuring all equipment and processes adhere to safety standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering and process improvement team.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with the production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to align goals and objectives.

Strategic Planning and Innovation

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies for technology upgrades and process innovations to meet evolving market demands.
  • Stay updated on advancements in food production technology and engineering trends to recommend and implement new solutions.
  • Partner with vendors and suppliers to ensure the procurement of high-quality, cost-effective equipment and materials.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or Food Engineering) or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering and operations within the food production industry.
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
  • Experience with food safety regulations and certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget oversight and timeline adherence.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with production management software and tools.
