JOB SUMMARY:
Impact Arena is a 12,000 pax Arena and has over twenty-five years of history holding iconic global acts and concerts, conferences, sporting events and local performances. This busy hub within the larger Impact precinct, has up to 60 major events a year with over 600,000 people attending events there.
Operations Coordinator role is to support he effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the Back of House Operations including the venue set up and bump in and out of events held at the Arena.
Supporting best practice in areas such as, but not limited to event delivery, general operations, equipment maintenance, venue presentation, storage, venue, event logistics and Health & Safety. Under Supervision from the Operations Supervisor, the operations coordinator member is an integral part to the day to day running of the Arena.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day to Day Operations
- Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and Production Manager. ensure the effective and efficient bump in, delivery and bump out of the event or function. Reporting any damage or Health & safety concerns so as these can be addressed immediately.
- Carry out Set up and take-down of all areas of the arena to ensure the Venue is well maintained and presentable in all areas. This may include setting up any promoter activation spaces, dressing room areas and queue management requirements associated with the event as
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) for events and functions are understood and practiced on a daily basis, where applicable assist the operations supervisor in updating and reviewing SOPs.
- Support the management of storerooms to keep them organized and efficient.
- Assist casual operations staff members and labour contractors have a clear understanding of their role, responsibilities and objectives.
- Comply with all statutory (including licensing) requirements are discharged, conforming to all Health & Safety procedures and requirements.
- Complete all OH&S Inductions are completed BOH and personnel on site undergo a site safety induction
- Follow LN/Impact governance processes as instructed.
- On some occasions, help supervise casual operations staff and labour contractors in the absence of the operations supervisor.
- Carry out any other duties that are deemed reasonable and associated with the role.
- Support the performance of all on-site contractors, including housekeeping, security personnel, and any company staff working within the premises, to ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with the required standards and comply with the venue's safety and quality requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in large scale functions and concert events (desirable)
- Fluent Thai and English written and spoken (preferable)
- Rigging, AV experience (Desirable)
- High level of self-motivation, adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Undertake manual labor as directed by the operations supervisor and production manager.
- Hold a Forklift or Elevated Work Platform license (Desirable)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Good IT Skills, including the use of Word and excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Good leadership skills that can draw out the best in people.
- Will be required to work on weekends, after office hours and public holidays as needed.
