We're Hiring: Operations Director | Layan, Cherngtalay, Phuket, Thailand

Our hospitality company in Phuket is seeking an exceptional Operations Director to lead our operations and drive business excellence across all departments.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

  • Base Salary: THB 120,000-200,000 per month
  • Service Charge (SVC): Performance-based incentives
  • Annual Bonus: Based on company performance
  • Full-time position | Monday-Friday

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly dynamic Operations Director to oversee and integrate the company's core business functions, including Human Resources and Sales & Marketing. This strategic leadership role reports directly to the General Manager (GM) and is responsible for driving operational excellence across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Management

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations and workflows
  • Manage employee relations, performance management systems, and compensation structures
  • Ensure full compliance with labor laws and relevant regulations
  • Build a positive organizational culture and enhance employee engagement

Sales & Marketing Leadership

  • Drive sales strategies and revenue growth initiatives
  • Oversee marketing campaigns and brand positioning
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes
  • Set sales targets and monitor performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Develop and enhance customer relationship management strategies

General Operations

  • Improve processes and enhance operational efficiency
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Implement company-wide policies and standard operating procedures
  • Report operational performance to the GM and key stakeholders
  • Lead strategic planning and business development initiatives

Job Specifications:

Language Skills (MANDATORY):

  • Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading) - MANDATORY
  • Able to communicate effectively with international stakeholders in business meetings, presentations, and daily operations
  • Fluent in Thai

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Master's degree (MBA) is a strong advantage

Experience (MANDATORY Requirements):

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive management experience
  • Experience in hotel industry - MANDATORY
  • At least 3-5 years in a senior management role within hotel operations overseeing multiple departments
  • Proven track record in operational management and performance improvement in hospitality sector
  • Hands-on experience in HR and Sales/Marketing within hotel environment
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations and guest service excellence
  • Familiar with hotel systems and Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Experience working in international environment with strong English communication skills

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor regulations
  • Good understanding of sales strategies and marketing principles specifically for hospitality industry
  • Proficient in MS Office and business management software
  • Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
  • Understanding of online travel agencies (OTAs) and distribution channels
