Summary of Responsibilities:
Under (Sr.) Manager – Operation, performing duties assuring a safe, efficient, and reliable
Operation of the Power plant following or exceeding applicable standards and regulations within the guidelines of the Power Purchase Agreement.
- Responsible to support plant operation activities.
- Performing all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, rule, and regulations on operations, safety
- Conduct and housekeeping.
- Protecting the investment in machinery, equipment and facility by exercising care, skill, training, and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Work in the daytime for support operator works OnShift to operate, control and record trends of generation unit, pumps, emergency generators, auxiliary equipment, various plant systems, water cooling systems, and spillway equipment through Local, remote or Supervisory control operating system in conjunction with the (Sr.) Manager – Operation.
- Ensure conformance with established policies, standard operation procedures (SOP) and Emergency Operation Procedures (EOP)
- Support plant operations activities, routine operating and maintenance, and overhaul procedures ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Conduct inspections and monitoring of related equipment to assure safe operation and to maintain operational efficiencies for power generation and water discharge.
- Start, stop, operate and control generation units, pumps, emergency generators, auxiliary equipment, various plant systems, water conveyance systems and dam equipment through Local, Local Automatic or Supervisory control.
- Monitor equipment indicators and make necessary changes to generation unit, pumps and spillways to maintain plant function and river level requirements.
- Take corrective action when responding to equipment annunciators, alarms and SCADA information. Initiates corrective measures needed to address or avoid plant contingencies and equipment emergencies.
- Monitor fluctuating river inflows during flood operation and control spill releases.
- Keep accurate and legible operation logs. Prepares and completes records and resorts on operations, system failures, water releases and power generation. Initiates work requests as needed.
- Communicate and coordinates with his/her supervisor on river changes, environmentally hazardous events and changes affecting the fish hatchery.
- Execute switching orders prepared in accordance with SOPs, established switching practices and facility instructions.
- Assist in assessing actual or potential damage to facilities and threats to personal safety during an emergency.
- Other task following supervisor's assignment or company policy.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree of engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or other related field.
- Experience in power plant business would be advantage.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in power generation or related field.
- Good communication in English.
