About the Role
We are seeking a Operations Manager to work closely with senior management and oversee local business operations. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, coordinating with customers and partners, supporting business development activities, and ensuring effective communication between management and internal teams.
The role also requires acting as a ThaiEnglish translator for meetings, calls, and written communications when required. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of operational execution while working directly with decision-makers.
This position involves client follow-ups, business outreach, operational coordination, and occasional travel across provinces to support management on business activities. Knowledge of shipping, logistics, or import/export processes is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support daily business operations in line with management objectives
- Act as the primary coordination point between management, partners, and internal teams
- Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities and managing follow-ups
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers and support new client acquisition
- Translate and interpret between Thai and English during meetings, calls, emails, and written documents
- Prepare reports, presentations, and operational documentation using Microsoft Office
- Track and report operational, client, and business activities to management
- Support strategic and operational tasks assigned by senior management
- Travel across provinces as required to support business and management activities
Requirements
Experience & Background
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in commodities operations managementpreferably in UCO or palm oilor in business management, administration, business development, or a related managerial capacity.
- Experience working directly with senior management or leadership teams
- Experience dealing with customers, partners, or external stakeholders
- Basic knowledge or exposure to shipping, logistics, or import/export coordination is necessary
Language & Communication
- Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written)
- Proven ability to translate and interpret between Thai and English in a professional business setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel (reports, tracking, basic formulas), PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Comfortable learning and using new systems and software
