Operations Manager - Lifestyle Concept Restaurant

About the Company

We are the lifestyle F&B division of an acclaimed, award-winning hospitality investment firm based in Bangkok. We are currently expanding our portfolio with an exciting new lifestyleF&B concept in Southern Thailand and were looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead this project from pre-opening through to full operations. This is your opportunity to play a key role in launching a flagship destination, shape exceptional service standards, and inspire a high-performing team.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-opening activities, including recruitment, team setup, and operational readiness.
  • Supervise daily floor operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and team coordination.
  • Maintain visible leadership on the floor to uphold high service standards and staff morale.
  • Work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and accurate order execution.
  • Assist the General Manager in supervising Finance and HR functions.
  • Support the HR team in employee relations, conflict resolution, and recruitment efforts.
  • Monitor hygiene, safety, and service protocols, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage inventory and cost controls, including supplier coordination, audits, and stock efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive upkeep and prepare yearly CAPEX proposals.
  • Liaise with local authorities to maintain licenses, legal compliance, and community relationships.
  • Enforce brand standards across service, presentation, and operations, including health and safety.

Required Skills:

  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Expertise in hospitality operations, particularly F&B and guest service
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, and cost control
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Thai regulatory, licensing, and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting HR functions, including recruitment and conflict resolution
  • Ability to oversee property maintenance and coordinate with technical teams
  • Professional proficiency in both Thai and English

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in pre-opening projects, especially F&B
  • Familiarity with Koh Phangan or Southern Thailand (local residency is a plus)
  • Strong network with local authorities, suppliers, and community stakeholders
  • Background in high-end or lifestyle-oriented hospitality concepts
  • Prior experience as Assistant to GM or second-in-command in hospitality operations
