Discovering the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall operational performance of Convergint Thailand. This role oversees project delivery, service operations, resource planning, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction to ensure projects and services are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with Convergint's quality standards and Values & Beliefs. The Operations Manager partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Project teams to drive business growth, operational excellence, and customer success.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of project delivery, field services, and maintenance activities across Thailand.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to contractual, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and utilization of project managers, engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams to support successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage operational budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and profitability targets.
  • Review project and service performance metrics, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Promote and maintain a strong culture of health, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams through coaching, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
  • Support business growth by improving operational scalability, service delivery capabilities, and customer retention.
  • Oversee service operations to ensure contractual service levels (SLAs) and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Participate in customer reviews, project status meetings, and executive operational reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in operations, project management, service management, or systems integration industries.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience managing operational teams and business performance.
  • Experience in Electronic Security Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm Systems, ELV, Building Technologies, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery, service operations, resource planning, and operational process management.
  • Understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and profit & loss accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
  • Fluent in Thai and proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
