Job Overview

The Project Manager Operations will play a key role in driving operational excellence and business growth through effective project leadership and cross-functional collaboration. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing multiple projects across Operations, Supply Chain, and partner functions to ensure successful and timely delivery.

The role involves developing detailed project plans, defining tasks, assigning ownership, and managing internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and contract manufacturers. The Project Manager will proactively identify risks, remove obstacles, and resolve issues that may impact project timelines, quality, or customer delivery.

In addition to execution, this position will continuously improve project management tools, processes, and templates to enhance the overall efficiency of the function. The individual will also be responsible for documenting new workflows and ensuring that all project initiatives align with organizational goals and quality standards.

Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities

Planning the project

  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project and project estimated budget.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.

Organizing the staff and stakeholder selection


  • In consultation with the Head of Dusit Gastro recruits all necessary staff and stakeholders with appropriate skills necessary to carry out all project activities.
  • Facilitates stakeholders staff meetings, takes minutes, and summarize deliverables to ensure stakeholders are organized and remain on task for the duration of the project.
  • Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the project.
  • Solicit qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate and present candidates to senior management.
  • Oversee RFP process for new projects.

Implementing the project


  • Execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.

Control the project


  • Write progress reports on the project for senior management.
  • Monitor all budgeted project expenditures.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.

Evaluate the project


  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

Customer Service:


  • Managing a team of the Customer Service team in Thailand who handle the customer orders for Thailand and Oversea to ensure customer satisfaction (FRSD) and right handle of a customer complaint (CCIR)
  • Ensure the CS process is compliant and effective enough to support business growth.

Planning:


  • Working closely with production, procurement to conduct production planning, RM call off and ensure align with BU on stocking policy, sourcing changes for trading products, Business Rules (Lead-time, minimum order quantity) and execute them accordingly.

Logistic:


  • Support business growth and supply chain operation in Thailand by working closely with 3rd party service providers to stay focus on customer centricity, drive process compliance while allowing flexibility to satisfy customers needs in the area of ocean freight forwarding, local distribution and customs clearance.
  • Provide guidance on vendor selection/qualification/negotiation and contracting.
  • Monitor vendor performance by reviewing scorecards against KPIs
  • Coordinate with related teams and functions to create mutual understanding in operations to improve and solve problems.
  • Any other related duties / tasks that may be assigned as per business need. For Senior manager or manager Level position: Works closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director/ Head of Dusit Gastro in the localization of corporate strategies, communication, and execution.
  • Supports the company in new business acquisitions.
  • Conduct business analysis and reviews as needed.
  • Supports the Managing Director and Commercial Director in providing guidance to the sales team for long-term strategic planning sessions.

Relationships And Accountabilities


  • Reports to Commercial Director Dusit Foods / MD Dusit foods with dotted line to Vice President Portfolio Management
  • Co-ordinates with subsidiaries personnel and all other cross function teams regarding areas of responsibilities.
  • Networks with customers / suppliers in Food professionals and in the industry on a regular basis.

Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree or higher in any related field / bachelors degree in business administration,
  • Project Management or certificate of completion of Project / Management and five years experience are required. Having experience in the F&B industry is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of project management, timelines, deadlines, and follow-through on finished projects.
  • Good and superior verbal and written communication skills. (Good command of English in both speaking and writing skills is a plus)
  • Customer focus: Demonstrates service-oriented attitude under all situations.
  • Communication: Demonstrates maturity in dealing with conflict etc.; superior communication skills including listening verbal and written
  • Leadership, coaching, and teamwork: Develops close working relationship within the CS/Planning/logistics, as well as with peers in SC in other regions and in other functions; ensures efficiency and alignment cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Sales/Business
  • Process orientated: Recognizes the importance and drives process compliance linked to sound understanding of all aspects of the order fulfillment process.

  • Well organized, creativity, communication, and multiple tasking skills.
