We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer to support and manage enterprise database technologies. The role involves building, troubleshooting, monitoring databases, and providing consultation to internal customers (EMIT groups, Capability teams, and project teams). You will collaborate closely with global Product teams, including Product Managers, Architects, SMEs, and DBA/DBAM counterparts across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain enterprise databases across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQL Server.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes or optimizations.
- Provide consultation and support to internal stakeholders including EMIT groups, Capability teams, and project teams.
- Collaborate with global Product teams, including Product Managers, Architects, SMEs, and DBA counterparts in other locations.
- Develop, maintain, and execute SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries for reporting, data extraction, and troubleshooting.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and changes, including cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Ensure data security, backup, and recovery processes are followed.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies and best practices to improve database reliability and performance.
Key Requirements
- Database Technologies (35 years experience): Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL / MariaDB, SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (T-SQL)
- Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX / Linux
- Cloud Experience: AWS, Azure Cloud Infrastructure
