Role Overview
The P6 Planning Engineer / Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting the overall project schedule throughout the project lifecycle. The role will work closely with the PMC team, Client, Consultants, and Contractors to ensure project progress is accurately tracked, potential delays are identified early, and mitigation measures are implemented to maintain project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update the integrated master schedule using Primavera P6.
- Review and validate contractor baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and schedule updates.
- Monitor project progress against approved milestones and identify schedule risks and delays.
- Conduct critical path analysis and recommend mitigation or recovery measures.
- Coordinate schedule interfaces between design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule performance analysis.
- Support project management with forecasting, resource planning, and progress measurement.
- Evaluate extension of time (EOT) claims and schedule impact assessments.
- Participate in progress review meetings with Client, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with Client project controls and reporting requirements.
Key Competencies & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects.
- Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale MEP projects is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM), resource loading, earned value, and schedule risk analysis.
- Experience in delay analysis, EOT assessments, and contractor schedule reviews.
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
