Employment Type: Part-Time (flexible hours, approximately 10-30 hours per week, depending on workload)
We are looking for a reliable Electrician to join our team on a part-time basis in Koh Samui. The successful candidate will handle electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations primarily for residential properties, villas, or small commercial sites. This role requires flexibility to respond to occasional urgent calls.
Notice: We cannot do any work permit for this position due to Thai law (reserved position).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs (wiring, lighting, outlets, appliances, etc.)
- Install new electrical systems or upgrades in compliance with Thai safety standards and regulations, as well as European safety standard.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely
- Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets local building codes
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Provide clear reports on completed work when required
Requirements
- Valid electrician certification or vocational training in electrical work
- Good knowledge of Thai electrical standards and internationnal safety practices
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
- Reliable transportation (motorbike or car) to travel around Koh Samui
- Basic English communication skills are a plus (but not required)
- Thai language
- Flexible availability, including some weekends or evenings if needed
- Proven experience as a qualified electrician is a plus, beginner is accepted
