The Role
You will own paid acquisition end-to-end across Meta and Google Ads — strategy, execution, optimisation, and reporting — single-handedly. Our funnel is unusual for e-commerce: the majority of orders close on WhatsApp, not on-site. You'll need to think in terms of leads and conversations, not just ROAS, and build campaign structures that reflect how high-ticket jewellery actually sells.
This is a hands-on-the-account role. No agency to delegate to, no junior to hide behind.
What You'll Do
- Own Meta Ads completely — Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) lead campaigns and website conversion campaigns: structure, audiences, budgets, creative testing, exclusions, and scaling decisions
- Build and run Google Ads — Search, Shopping/PMax, and remarketing for a high-AOV (₹25k–₹60k+) jewellery catalogue
- Manage budget allocation across the funnel — prospecting vs retargeting, lead campaigns vs website campaigns — with a clear point of view on where the next rupee goes
- Own attribution and reporting — track leads from ad → DM/WhatsApp → order using UTM/referral data, keyword triggers, and CRM/sheet-based pipelines; report weekly on spend, CPL, lead-to-order rate, and revenue
- Drive lead quality, not just lead volume — work closely with the sales team (who close on WhatsApp) to tighten targeting based on which leads actually convert
- Brief and iterate on creatives — work with our content producer on ad hooks, formats, and messaging mapped to defined customer segments
- Run structured experiments — audiences, placements, bid strategies, landing paths — and kill losers fast
What We're Looking For
- 3–4 years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with meaningful monthly spends managed personally (not just overseen)
- Deep Meta Ads expertise is non-negotiable — you understand campaign structures, CBO vs ABO trade-offs, learning phase mechanics, CTWA/lead objectives, and pixel/CAPI signal quality
- Working proficiency in Google Ads — Search, Shopping/PMax, remarketing
- Experience with lead-gen or WhatsApp-close funnels (D2C high-ticket, jewellery, real estate, edtech, BFSI — categories where the sale happens off-site) strongly preferred
- Comfort with spreadsheets and attribution logic — you can trace a lead from ad click to closed order and defend your numbers
- Strong grasp of the Indian consumer landscape; Hinglish creative sensibility is a plus
- Bias for ownership — you flag problems with a proposed fix, not a question
Nice to Have
- Experience in jewellery, luxury, or high-consideration D2C
- Familiarity with WATI or similar WhatsApp Business API platforms
- Exposure to Shopify analytics and e-commerce event tracking (GA4, CAPI)
