Job Summary
The Personal Banker (PB) at UOB (Thai) Public Company Limited is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual customers, understanding their financial needs, and providing comprehensive banking solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and driving sales of a wide range of banking products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- **Customer Relationship Management:** Proactively engage with new and existing individual customers to understand their financial objectives, risk appetite, and lifestyle needs.
- **Sales and Product Promotion:** Identify sales opportunities and effectively cross-sell and up-sell UOB's banking products and services, including deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, insurance, and digital banking solutions.
- **Financial Advisory:** Provide personalized financial advice and recommendations to customers based on their individual circumstances and UOB's product offerings.
- **Account Management:** Assist customers with account opening, maintenance, and various banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- **Customer Service Excellence:** Deliver a consistently high level of customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- **Compliance and Risk Management:** Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring ethical conduct and compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and other banking regulations.
- **Referral Generation:** Identify opportunities to refer customers to specialized banking services (e.g., wealth management, business banking) when appropriate.
- **Market Knowledge:** Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to effectively position UOB's offerings.
- **Reporting:** Maintain accurate customer records and prepare sales and activity reports as required.
Job Qualifications
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a banking or financial services sales role, preferably as a Personal Banker or similar customer-facing position.
- **Skills:**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Excellent sales and negotiation abilities, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Solid understanding of banking products and services, including deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, and insurance.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- **Language:** Fluency in Thai and good command of English (both written and spoken) is required.
- **Certifications:** Relevant financial certifications (e.g., investment licenses, insurance licenses) are a plus.
