Branch Manager, Phuket — Howden Maxi Insurance Broker Co., Ltd

Job Summary:

The Phuket Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations, business development, and profitability of the Phuket branch. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, developing the local team, and ensuring operational excellence in line with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive new business acquisition and achieve revenue targets for the Phuket branch
  • Identify and develop opportunities across key sectors (e.g., Property, Construction, Hospitality, Marine, SME)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, agents and business partners
  • Lead major client negotiations and support complex deal structuring

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the key representative of the company in Phuket market
  • Develop long-term relationships with key clients, agents and stakeholders
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and cross-selling opportunities

3. Branch Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards
  • Monitor branch performance and implement improvement plans where necessary

4. Team Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Phuket team to achieve high performance
  • Set clear goals and KPIs aligned with company strategy
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance capability and productivity
  • Foster a strong team culture and engagement

5. Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute branch-level business plans aligned with corporate strategy
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or related fields
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in insurance/broking industry or related field
  • Proven track record in business development and client management
  • Strong understanding of general insurance products (Property, Casualty, Marine, Construction, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly preferred
  • Strong network in Phuket or Southern Thailand market is a significant advantage
