Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.
Convert the MPS into an executable Material Requirements Plan (MRP).
Monitor production plan execution and adjust schedules to meet customer commitments.
Ensure alignment between MPS, MRP, and S&OP.
Material & Capacity Management
Manage daily material shortages and coordinate recovery plans with Procurement and Sourcing.
Analyze capacity constraints and propose recovery actions to maximize production output.
Monitor material readiness during frozen planning periods.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Lead weekly MPS meetings and daily planning reviews.
Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to resolve planning issues.
Escalate planning risks and recommend corrective actions.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor planning KPIs including COTD, Plan Adherence, Material Availability, and MPS Stability.
Maintain planning master data and ERP accuracy.
Improve planning processes through standardization, automation, and data analytics.
Lead the Master Planning process by converting customer demand into an executable production and material plan that maximizes production capacity, ensures material availability, and achieves customer On-Time Delivery (COTD).
Drive cross-functional planning execution, proactively manage shortages and constraints, and ensure planning data accuracy aligned with the S&OP process.
Qualifications
Assistant Manager level competencies and experience
Strong leadership capabilities
Extensive planning knowledge and expertise
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Experience in manufacturing environment; aerospace experience is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of MPS, MRP II, Capacity Planning, and S&OP.
