Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance operations in a high-performing manufacturing environment. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, improving plant efficiency, and ensuring world-class maintenance practices that support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Maintenance Leadership
- Lead and develop the Plant Engineering & Maintenance team to achieve operational excellence, safety, and performance targets.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence throughout the organization.
- Coach and mentor engineers, supervisors, and technicians to build organizational capability.
Reliability & Asset Management
- Develop and execute plant-wide maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and efficiency.
- Drive improvements in key maintenance KPIs, including:
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
- Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance initiatives where applicable.
- Ensure effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs are in place and consistently executed.
Budget & Cost Management
- Own and manage engineering, maintenance, and utilities budgets.
- Plan and control OPEX and CAPEX expenditures to achieve operational and business objectives.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining plant reliability and performance.
Project & Continuous Improvement
- Lead engineering improvement projects, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and plant expansion activities.
- Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and utility optimization programs.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans for major equipment failures.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, consultants, and technical experts to ensure successful project execution and problem resolution.
- Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of engineering and maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- At least 5–7 years of proven leadership experience managing engineering and maintenance teams.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, chemical, automotive, or other large-scale manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
Technical Competencies
Strong expertise in:
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Asset Reliability Management
- OEE, MTBF, MTTR Improvement
- Maintenance Budgeting (OPEX/CAPEX)
- Utilities Management
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Hands-on experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP-PM.
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Reliability Engineering is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
