Oversee the management of a moderate-sized plant dedicated to producing bakery items that support local demand and potential export
Manage the Plant and production activities, in alignment with company policies and procedures
Accountable for efficient and timely production, meeting financial targets in the most cost-effective manner
Report directly to the Managing Director, overseeing the team and working closely with cross-functional teams; including Food Category, QA, Supply Chain, and other relevant functions
Main Duties:
Manage the production of quality bread and baked products, with a plan to accelerate the variety and scale of production over the next 1-2 years
Ensure the continuous supply of required product ranges to the store network within agreed schedules, covering materials and manpower requirements
Act as the health and safety champion, maintaining high standards of quality assurance and safety procedures that comply with local laws, and regulations
Establish and enhance plant SOPs
Maintain financial control and budgetary responsibility
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Food or Bakery Science, or an engineering background is a plus
A minimum of 5 -10 years of management experience within a moderate volume bakery environment, e.g. pastry, bread
Excellent people management skills, flexible, a positive attitude, innovative, and energetic
Fluent in English communication and excellent report writing skills
