Yaru is seeking an experienced Podcast Engineer / Podcast Producer to help us create world-class podcast and audio content.

This role sits at the center of our content production engine. You will work alongside our creators, hosts, and production team to capture conversations with leading founders, researchers, and builders working in AI and emerging technologies.

You will be responsible for the technical quality, recording process, editing, and final production and posting of podcasts, ensuring that every episode meets professional broadcast standards.

You will also support audio production across our entire content ecosystem, including video productions, livestreams, and studio recordings.

This role requires someone who is both technically excellent and highly collaborative.

You will manage the audio side of podcast production from recording through final mastering and publication, ensuring every episode meets world-class production standards.

You will operate out of our Bangkok studio, support recordings across multiple studios, and travel with the team to capture interviews at conferences, events, and field recordings when necessary.

This role will also contribute to Yaru's education and storytelling mission, helping translate production work into lessons and insights for our audience.

• Record, engineer, and manage podcast sessions in studio and on location
• Ensure proper microphone placement, signal flow, and gain structure
• Manage audio equipment including microphones, mixers, interfaces, and recording software
• Troubleshoot technical issues during recordings
• Support hosts and guests to ensure comfortable and high-quality recording sessions

• Edit podcast recordings for clarity, pacing, and narrative flow
• Remove background noise, awkward pauses, and audio artifacts
• Apply EQ, compression, leveling, and mastering to achieve broadcast-quality sound
• Integrate intro music, sponsor segments, transitions, and sound effects
• Deliver final audio ready for distribution and publishing

• Maintain studio equipment and recording systems
• Manage microphone setups, recording workflows, and studio signal chains
• Ensure studios are configured for consistent high-quality production
• Coordinate recording setups across multiple studio environments

• Travel with the Yaru team to record podcasts and interviews at global AI events
• Set up portable recording rigs for on-site interviews
• Ensure consistent audio quality in remote and live recording environments

Yaru produces a large volume of video content.

You will:

• Support audio recording for video productions
• Ensure high-quality microphone capture for interviews and livestreams
• Collaborate with the video team to synchronize audio and video production workflows

• Design efficient production workflows across multiple shows
• Manage podcast episode pipelines from recording editing publishing
• Maintain file management, naming conventions, and version control
• Implement scalable audio production systems as the studio grows

Yaru builds products and teaches the world how to build them.

This role supports our education mission by:

• Helping capture the production process behind our shows
• Supporting the content team in explaining how podcast production works
• Contributing ideas for educational content around audio production
• Occasionally appearing in behind-the-scenes or production-focused content

• 4+ years of professional podcast production or audio engineering experience
• Proven experience producing high-quality podcast audio
• Portfolio of podcasts or audio productions demonstrating world-class production standards

Strong experience with:

• Digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as:
• Pro Tools
• Logic Pro
• Adobe Audition
• Reaper or similar
• Podcast production tools and workflows
• Professional microphones, mixers, and audio interfaces
• Recording environments (studio and field)

• Near-native English proficiency (required)
• Comfortable collaborating with international teams
• Able to support hosts and guests during recordings

• Must be comfortable working full-time from our Bangkok studio
• Willing to travel for conferences and events
• Able to work across multiple recording environments

• Experience producing video podcasts
• Experience with livestream production
• Experience working with creators, YouTubers, or media teams
• Experience integrating AI tools into production workflows
