OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Dredging Expert will provide technical leadership in planning and execution of dredging activities for the port development. This role involves selection of dredging methodologies, monitoring production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with environmental and operational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will be responsible for review of bathymetric and other relevant surveys responsibilities and for the supervision during dredging, reclamation, marine survey and marine construction works in conformance with the Contract, the technical specifications and the approved detailed design.
  • To be available on-site full time.
  • To be committed to a team ethic with client, his colleagues and contractors to check that the work is satisfactorily completed within time and cost and to the required technical standard.
  • To attend inspection requests by the Contractor and provide either go ahead with the work or generate noncompliance reports if the inspected work is not satisfactory.
  • To check lines and levels in general and ensure that all the lines and levels as per the design/project requirement are achieved during dredging and reclamation activities

QUALIFICATION:

  • Must be a registered Engineer with a minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 20 (twenty) years of cumulative experience in marine Surveying and Dredging works and thereof a minimum of 10 (ten) years related to port/marine design review and construction.
  • Must have served in similar capacity on at least 2 (two) marine construction and design projects of similar nature.
  • It must be preferably a full-time employee of the Consultant for at least 2 years.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
