Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, build, and optimize analytics solutions that enable datadriven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, and performance tuning, with strong analytical capabilities. Experience in business analysisincluding requirements gathering and process understandingwill be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data models, meaningful visualizations, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.
- Optimize report and model performance through DAX optimization, data modeling best practices, and query tuning.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across datasets and reports.
- Handle ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from business stakeholders.
- Document report logic, data sources, data flows, and business rules for transparency and reuse.
- Contribute to data governance, standardization, and best-practice reporting frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 37 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
- Strong proficiency in:
- DAX
- Power Query (M)
- Data modeling in Power BI
- Experience working with:
- SQL databases
- Excel
- Cloud data sources (e.g., Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions and data models.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data preparation, and transformation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business analysis (requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management).
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and iterative delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is an advantage.
- Experience integrating Power BI with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, or other modern data platforms is a plus.
