Job Description - Electronics Design Lead (P3)
Lead the
end-to-end development and integration of advanced power electronic systems for renewable energy, and industrial automation. system architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to global safety and performance standards. Resolve complex system-level challenges—including thermal, EMI/EMC, and functional safety—while mentoring engineering teams and fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and integration of power electronic systems—including AC-DC, DC-AC, and DC-DC converters, inverters, renewable energy platforms, and industrial converters.
- Own complete electrical engineering lifecycle: Requirements → Architecture → Detailed Design → Prototype → Validation → Certification → Production support
- Define system architecture, topology, requirements, and interface specifications for industrial power converters, charging platforms, high-voltage drivetrain systems.
- Guiding designs from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across hardware, software, mechanical, integration, testing, production, supply chain and project management teams to ensure seamless product development and successful delivery within time.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international safety and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to system behaviour, thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI), and power quality.
- Lead detailed design reviews and ensure comprehensive validation and verification coverage across system interfaces and critical performance metrics, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing where applicable and safety assessments.
- Ensure the product meets quality, cost and timeline requirements.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed technical documentation, including schematics, Bills of Materials (BOM), specifications, test protocols, validation reports, and production drawings.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and driving continuous improvement in engineering processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- MTech . in Power Electronics specialization or related discipline.
- 10–15 +years of experience designing and developing power electronic systems, preferably in automotive or industrial sectors with 10kW and above ratings, voltage level 400V and above
- Deep knowledge of power conversion topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC), magnetic component design, and switching device characteristics
- End to end product lifecycle development experience
- Solid hands-on experience with industry-standard simulation and design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, Altium Designer, and PCB design suites.
- Familiarity with embedded software and firmware development for power converter control (e.g., C/C++, microcontrollers, FPGA programming).
- Proven track record of successfully taking products from concept through validation, functional safety assessment, and mass production launch.
- Understanding and application of functional safety principles and systems engineering methodologies (FTA, FMEA, V-Model/System V).
- Knowledge of high-power applications, including thermal management, safety, and EMC/EMI requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to model-based design approaches and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation environments.
- Familiarity with automotive and industrial communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Modbus.

Senior Design Engineer – Power Electronics
Role Overview
As a Senior Design Engineer Power Electronics, you will be responsible for the detailed design, development, and validation of high-performance power electronic components and subsystems used in industrial automation, and renewable energy, EV Charging applications. You need to translate system-level requirements into schematics, prototypes, and production-ready designs, playing a key role in bringing cutting-edge power electronics solutions to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop power conversion circuits and modules (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC converters, inverters, gate drive and protection circuits) based on system-level specifications and requirements.
- Perform detailed schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, and component/device selection for high-efficiency power circuits.
- Perform simulation, analysis, and optimization of power stages, switching topologies, thermal performance, and EMI/EMC characteristics, filter design using tools such as LTspice, PLECS, and MATLAB/Simulink and hardware testing to validate designs.
- Support EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal management, and protection strategy implementation.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- M.Tech in Power Electronics specialization or related discipline
- 5 – 10+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics design, preferably in industrial domains, renewable energy, or or EVs with Power rating of 10kW and above
- Demonstrate in-depth expertise in power conversion topologies, high-voltage design practices, magnetic component design, switching devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC/GaN) selection and advanced gate drive techniques.
- Converter Hardware testing experience.
- Experience with embedded control integration and analog/digital interface design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Cadence/Altium Designer (or equivalent), LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, and thermal/EMI simulation platforms.
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and thermal cameras

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed mechanical design,
electro-mechanical packaging, and thermal management of high-performance power electronic systems—such as Power Electronics converters, inverters, and 19inch rack-mounted assemblies, renewable energy, and industrial automation. You need to translate system requirements into robust, efficient, manufacturable designs that ensure mechanical integrity, thermal performance, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for power electronics packaging which includes enclosures, racks, heatsinks, cooling systems, shock mounts and internal component mounts.
- Develop and maintain 3D/2D CAD designs, detailed drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM) comprehensive technical documentation throughout the product development lifecycle
- Design for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), reliability, and thermal fatigue limits; contribute to DFMEA and DFR initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop robust thermal management systems, including:

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on power electronics packaging and thermal management, preferably in automotive, renewable energy, or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) and BOM creation.
- Experience in supplier coordination, Deep understanding of manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFMEA) principles, fatigue life design and hands-on experience with GD&T, material selection, and tolerance analysis
- Basic knowledge of FEA (ANSYS, Abaqus) and CFD (Fluent, FloTHERM or equivalent) tools
