We are looking for a Power BI Developer to join our Global Information Security (GIS) team. In this role, you will transform raw security and risk data into actionable insights, building dashboards and visualizations that help leadership monitor threats, assess vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards for Cyber Security monitoring (threats, incidents, vulnerabilities, compliance).
- Translate complex security datasets into clear, interactive, and actionable visualizations.
- Work closely with Security Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Design efficient data models and implement DAX calculations for performance and accuracy.
- Apply UI/UX best practices to deliver dashboards that are not only technically accurate but also intuitive, visually consistent, and user-friendly.
- Integrate Power BI with Azure Security services (e.g., Sentinel, Defender) and other cyber tools to build automated reporting pipelines.
- Ensure dashboards support regulatory and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, etc.).
- Manage publishing, data refreshes, and user access in Power BI Service with a focus on security.
- Stay updated on Power BI features, Azure data capabilities, and cyber security reporting best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer, Data Analyst, or BI Engineer.
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- Hands-on experience in data modeling and performance optimization for BI solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (incidents, vulnerabilities, threat intelligence, compliance frameworks).
- Familiarity with Azure technologies (Dataflows, ADLS, Sentinel, Defender) and integration with Power BI.
- Proven experience applying UI/UX principles to BI dashboards (color theory, layouts, accessibility, mobile-friendly design).
- Strong eye for detail with a passion for creating clean, elegant, and visually compelling dashboards.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to extract/transform large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate security metrics into business language. Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) or GRC tools for security reporting.
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Experience with Power BI REST APIs and automation.
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
- Candidates should be prepared to provide examples or a portfolio showcasing their Power BI dashboard designs.
