We are seeking ahighly analytical and technically skilled Pricing Actuaryto manage the pricing and performance of standard products across Asia and the Middle East.

You will lead annual product revamps, collaborate with insurers, the product team, and internal stakeholders to ensure profitability and sustainability, and partner with the data team to build models, dashboards, and automation solutions for greater efficiency.

The role requires strong Excel modelling skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to document and communicate analysis and recommendations effectively.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

Pricing and Product Performance

  • Manage the pricing of standard products and conduct annual product revamps, analyzing demographic, premium, and claims data to review technical performance and recommend adjustments.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and projections, incorporating medical inflation, claims trends, and market dynamics into pricing decisions.

Template Creation, Automation, and Data Collaboration

  • Develop pricing models, Excel-based quote engines, and premium tables to support both internal and client-facing purposes.
  • Develop product analysis templates and work closely with the data team to automate reporting and dashboards, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
  • Leverage data insights, risk & claims analysis, and benchmarks to inform pricing strategies and product decisions.

Documentation and Communication

  • Prepare pricing documentation, analysis reports, and memos for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document processes, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure knowledge is retained and accessible across teams.
  • Communicate analysis results clearly to cross-functional teams, including product, sales, operations, and management.

Insurer and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Lead discussions and negotiations with insurers on product pricing, plan design, and renewals.
  • Work with sales, product, and operations teams to ensure pricing and product positioning meet commercial objectives.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support business strategy and decision-making.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and healthcare cost drivers to proactively adjust pricing strategies and maintain competitiveness.
  • Support strategic projects such as portfolio transfers, business opportunity reviews, and new product assessments.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a pricing-focused, actuarial, or analytical role within insurance or reinsurance, ideally in international health insurance.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, scenario modelling).
  • Hands-on experience developing pricing models and quote engines.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Qlik Sense) is a plus.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement, automation, and standardization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience or interest in AI, machine learning, or predictive modeling is a plus.
