Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the team in Thailand on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities
What makes you remarkable
- Report to the Lead Electrical Engineer and lead the development of key electrical engineering deliverables, including single line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams, calculations, specifications, and datasheets.
- Execute assigned tasks in accordance with project procedures and applicable international codes and standards.
- Prepare and manage procurement-related engineering activities, including issuing material requisitions, responding to technical clarifications, and performing technical bid evaluations.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all clientlicensed or thirdparty proprietary technologies.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are produced accurately, on time, and meet the expected quality standards.
- Provide technical input during interdisciplinary design reviews and coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
- Support site teams by addressing technical queries, resolving design issues, and assisting with construction, precommissioning, and commissioning activities when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical system design for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power, or Data Center projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and proficiency with international codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA/NEC).
- Hands on experience with industry standard electrical engineering tools such as ETAP and SKM.
- Direct experience with 230 kV high voltage systems; familiarity with EGAT Standard Specifications is an advantage.
- Able to supervise FAT, SAT, precommissioning, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Additional experience in construction or commissioning environments is preferred.
- Experience in Telecommunication System Designincluding SCADA, PA/GA, Telephone, LAN, CCTV, Radio, and Access Control systemsis an advantage.
- Possession of an EIT (Engineering Institute of Thailand) professional license
- Highly motivated, well organized, and proactive, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with good proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Flexible, able to work under pressure, and maintains a positive, results driven can do attitude.
