Wafer probing for Logic and Power IC's is getting increasingly challenging with regard to electrical (e.g. current, impedance, contact resistance) and mechanical (e.g. contact force, small dimensions) parameters of probes and increasing complexity of probe cards (e.g. pin count, thermal deflection, board integration). This requires a strong focus on pre-development and qualification activities to achieve our challenging time-to-market goals and to ensure the high quality of Infineon's products. Therefore, we are looking for a qualified probe technology engineer to strengthen our global team, who helps us to reach our ambitious cost targets and KPI's.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Define, execute, and document probing technology qualification procedures together with central hardware team and wafer test operations
- Understand and operate test equipment (prober, probe card analyzer, manipulator, etc.) required for probe card operations and maintenance
- Define and evaluate statistical-proven experiments to determine probe wear-out rates, to stabilize contact resistance and to control tip diameter for various probe-pad-combinations of Infineon's power and digital wafer technologies
- Track probe card performance at productive test sites and optimize yield, lifetime and maintenance cycle times
- Communicate and cooperate with probing be technology suppliers and support troubleshooting in case of hardware-related issues
- Contribute to quarterly review of probe technology roadmap based on Infineon's test and wafer technology requirements
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- University bachelor's or master's degree in applied physics, mechanical engineering or MEMS (Micro-Electrical-Mechanical-System) technology
- Practical working experience within test technology industry is beneficial
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical requirements for semiconductor technology
- Systematic and accurate working mode
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English speaking, reading and writing
