Process Engineer (Thermoforming)

Location: Prachinburi, Thailand

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00 (6 days/week), with possible day/night shifts

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining thermoforming production processes for sustainable food packaging products. The role involves hands-on work with machines, process control, material qualification, and quality improvement to meet customer requirements and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize production processes in thermoforming operations for packaging materials.
• Source, test, and qualify raw materials (fiber, plastic, or polymers) for thermoforming applications.
• Set up, operate, and fine-tune thermoforming machines and tooling.
• Conduct mold changes, machine setup, and process parameter adjustments to achieve efficient cycle times and product quality.
• Monitor process stability, identify root causes of production issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Standardize operating procedures (SOPs) and process control parameters.
• Oversee product quality and ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
• Lead or support continuous improvement activities to improve yield, reduce scrap, and optimize production efficiency.
• Train and guide operators and technicians on machine operation and process troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain production documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plastics, Polymer, Chemical, or related engineering fields.

Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing or process engineering.

Hands-on experience in Thermoforming process (preferably food packaging).

Strong knowledge of machine setup, process optimization, and tooling.

Analytical, proactive, and problem-solving attitude.

Good English communication and teamwork skills.
